About the Artist

Taipei International Poster Exposition

The International Poster Exhibition is not only a venue for showcasing artistic works but also an important platform for fostering cultural exchange, artistic innovation, and professional collaboration.
With the experience of curating the Taichung International Poster Exhibition over the past two years, BREAK OFF plans to expand the exhibition's scale this year. Like other major international poster exhibitions, the event in Taipei will showcase the latest global art trends, innovative design concepts, and the distinctive design styles and artistic features from different countries and regions, with a special focus on the posters created by Taiwanese designers and artists.
Bio
To promote diversity and innovation in visual arts and facilitate exchanges between domestic and international artists, Break Off decided to organize the Taipei International Poster Exposition, drawing on the experience of hosting poster exhibitions in Taichung in 2020 and 2021.

Taipei, as a major hub of cultural and artistic activity in Asia, offers a rich cultural environment and abundant resources, making it an ideal setting for this event.
2024 Taipei International Poster Exposition
The goal of this exposition is to showcase the works of outstanding designers and artists from around the world, particularly emphasizing the unique qualities of posters as a medium for visual communication and artistic expression. We hope that this platform will introduce more people to the allure of poster art while providing participants with an international stage to present their creative ideas and styles.

In the planning process, we considered global visual design trends and integrated local cultural elements to ensure that the exhibition content reflects a high level of artistic quality and cultural depth. Additionally, the exposition will include a competitive segment to encourage participants to innovate and push boundaries, thereby enhancing the event's influence and credibility.

This year's Taipei International Poster Exposition will particularly highlight two prominent participants: the guest jury Bird Pit from South Korea and the Japanese Riso printing studio HandSawPress. The special thematic exhibition area will feature a series of Riso-printed A3 posters created by these two units, all of which will be making their debut in Taiwan.
