Using various methods to subtly address what you find disagreeable or incomprehensible,
Experiences that are hard to comprehend become less significant,
Cognitions that are hard to accept fade away,
Ultimately reaching a state of stable and complete acceptance.
The lifelong pursuit of creating those subtle approaches
is a vocation that runs parallel to both one's career and faith.

Wu explores the self-reflexivity of technology's “thing-in-itself,” drawing on Gilles Deleuze's concept of the “zero degree image” as a reference. In response to Marshall McLuhan's assertion that “the medium is the message,” there is a reverse contemplation, considering technology not merely as a medium conveying information but as an extension of a pathological body. Through the simulation of retinal defects within technology, particularly within the context of technology mimicking its own visual impairment, a humanoid space of “gaze reversal” is created, providing a personified dimension to technology acting as an extension of a diseased body. Wu uses multiple media, inclusive of projection installation, video, performance and painting, to process the relationship between body, object, machine and space. He presents the re-disposition and reflection of the power relationship in the objecthood under the influence of his life experience, shaping a state of uncertainty that is both classical and mysterious.

Wu has exhibited internationally including solo exhibitions at Waley Art, Taipei (2022), Haiton Art Center, Taipei (2020), as well as group exhibitions at Digital Art Festival Taipei (2022), Aki Gallery, Taipei (2022), Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei (2020), Xiangshan Art Space, Hangzhou (2019), Merz Space, Stuttgart (2019), Taipei Digital Art Center (2018), Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (2016).
